Since the late 1800's when the Connecticut town of Old Lyme began attracting some of America's finest artists, art has played an important role in the community and the community has played an important role in art. Today, OLD LYME IS ART. 

In addition to providing an historic link to the past, Old Lyme is engaged in nurturing artists of the present, as well as providing educational leadership for artists in the future.

Art Organizations

The Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts upholds the finest teaching traditions on its growing campus.

The Florence Griswold Museum is now a National Historic Landmark attracting visitors worldwide.

The Lyme Art Association hosts regional art shows in its historic gallery, designed by Charles A. Platt.
